Church History

A Plymouth Brethren assembly with over 100 years of faith, perseverance and service in Iasi

Nicolina Church is part of the Plymouth Brethren movement (known in Romania as "Creștini după Evanghelie" - Christians according to the Gospel). During World War I, soldiers who had become Christians in the Brethren Assemblies of Bucharest and Ploiesti were stationed in Iasi. Together with other young people, full of zeal for the Gospel, they began prayer meetings and preaching in a rented room. Following the Gospel message, several people repented, and soon a small Christian Assembly was formed.
